Hi!

I’m Piotr Bystranowski, a legal and moral philosopher who uses experimental and computational methods to tackle foundational questions in law and philosophy. My work focuses on legal interpretation, responsibility ascriptions, criminalization theory, rule representation, and moral and legal cognition.

I’m an assistant professor at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Ethics, Jagiellonian University, where I lead the four‑year NCN OPUS project “Ignorance of Law: A Study in Experimental Jurisprudence.”
